In the traditional flower auction industry, issues such as low logistics efficiency, high labor costs, and complex operational processes have always been the "stubborn diseases" that constrain the development of the industry. Zhongjian Intelligent has entered the field of intelligent warehousing and logistics in the agricultural (fresh flower) industry for the first time. Taking a flower trading center project in Yunnan as a breakthrough point, it has successfully created a benchmark case in the industry and reshaped the flower circulation chain with technological strength.

Project Overview:

This project is designed to match the auction system of a flower auction and trading center in Yunnan, as well as an integrated flower intelligent warehousing and logistics full process solution that combines the characteristics of fresh cut flower storage and transportation. It covers the entire scene of flower collection, grading, warehousing, auction, flower matching, delivery, cleaning, etc. The first phase of the project is divided into two floors, with the first floor being the storage and logistics line for bottled flowers and the second floor being the storage and logistics line for boxed flowers, covering a total area of 80 acres. At present, it can meet the demand for intelligent grading, storage, auction and matching, and delivery of about 1 million potted and boxed flowers per day. The project design follows the principle of scalability, and the peak in the future can be expanded to 7.5 million flowers.

Core difficulties:

High process complexity: It is necessary to connect online auction trading systems, MES management systems, WMS logistics systems, etc., and complete dozens of actions such as flower collection, grading, barrel replacement, watering, cleaning, and in/out warehousing. At the same time, the system also needs to meet the "dual access dual release" mode to achieve maximum efficiency, further testing the collaborative ability of hardware and software.

Software scheduling pressure: In order to meet the high-frequency and large-scale order characteristics of the flower auction system, the WMS system processes over 100000 inbound and outbound instructions daily, requiring precise matching of flower varieties and quantities from tens of thousands of storage locations, with order response delays of ≤ 3 seconds.

Customer benefits:

A cliff like decline in labor costs: In the past, during the peak season of e-commerce promotions or auctions, the traditional manual operation mode required nearly a thousand workers for the same order volume. After the project was launched, only 10 operators were needed on the first floor and 3 on the second floor, significantly reducing labor costs.

Management efficiency leap: bidding farewell to the chaotic scheduling of traditional "crowd tactics", through the collaboration of intelligent storage and flower circulation system, the composite operation efficiency of bucket flower on the first floor can reach 1200 barrels/hour, and the box flower on the second floor can reach 700 boxes/hour, which is 5-8 times higher than the traditional mode and reaches the upper level of the industry.

Solution:

Zhongjian Intelligent has tailored two sets of automated warehousing and logistics solutions based on the characteristics of the customer's logistics process and site layout. The main functional equipment adopts modular and standardized design, and applies advanced control technologies such as barcode technology, frequency conversion speed regulation, high-speed data acquisition, human-machine interface, industrial fieldbus, and PLC control. Under the management and scheduling of the computer system, it completes the handling, storage, and processing of goods.

Introducing 12 bucket flower stackers and 7 box flower stackers on the project hardware equipment, combined with advanced technologies such as laser ranging and barcode identification, can achieve a positioning accuracy of ± 3mm, and improve efficiency by optimizing the walking path and adopting variable frequency speed regulation technology.

The project software adopts the digital and intelligent management system independently developed by Zhongjian Intelligent, which deeply integrates WMS warehouse management system, WCS warehouse control system, PCL control system, etc., and efficiently connects with auction system and MES manufacturing management system. After receiving an auction order, the system needs to analyze the order requirements in real time, quickly complete the "group, column, and arrangement" matching of bouquets, and ensure zero error in output types and quantities. The entire system is deployed in a hyper converged IT environment, capable of managing over 200000 storage locations, processing over 100000 inbound and outbound scheduling instructions daily, and capable of handling future expansion to a processing capacity of 7.5 million.

Conclusion:

The landing of the Kunming Flower Project is not only the first trial of Zhongjian Intelligent in the agricultural field, but also a milestone in the penetration of intelligent warehousing technology into traditional industries. When the efficient operation and transportation of stacker cranes replace manual handling, and when algorithms replace experience to match warehouse allocation and order sorting, what we see is not only an improvement in efficiency, but also the future prospects of agricultural modernization. In the future, Zhongjian Intelligent's intelligent warehousing and logistics solutions will be extended to more agricultural scenarios such as fruit and vegetable cold chain and agricultural material warehousing, empowering rural revitalization with technology and allowing every agricultural product to bloom in the intelligent circulation.
