Ganzhou Charoen Pokphand Industry Co., Ltd. is a regional backbone feed production enterprise under CP Group. Its new factory has an annual feed output of up to 400,000 tons. With the continuous growth of orders, the traditional warehousing model can no longer meet the production and logistics needs, and an efficient and intelligent warehousing system is urgently needed to support business development.

Targeting the pain points of the project such as limited planned warehousing area, obvious seasonal fluctuations in inventory, and tight construction period, CNANC innovatively customized a 30-meter-high "integrated rack and warehouse" storage system. It not only perfectly meets the warehousing needs of 400,000-ton capacity, but also becomes a replicable model for warehousing upgrading in the agriculture and animal husbandry industry!

Project Difficulties: Solutions Under Multiple Challenges

The "integrated rack and warehouse" model is an overall structure of warehouse + rack. Different from the traditional method of "building the warehouse first and then the rack", the integration of rack and warehouse can greatly shorten the construction period, but its difficulty in design and construction is also obvious:

· Upgraded technical difficulty: The "integrated rack and warehouse" model requires the rack to be constructed simultaneously with the factory. From design, production to installation, it tests the comprehensive technical capabilities such as equipment, architecture, and steel structure load design.

· Complex construction environment: The dual challenges of open-air construction and cross-operation place extremely high requirements on on-site management and schedule coordination, which need to closely match the front-end production rhythm;

· Strict safety control: The 30-meter-high rack system must ensure the stability of the rack-warehouse structure and the normal operation of equipment linkage under various external loads such as wind, rain, and snow, requiring higher safety and stability.

Customized Solution: Integrated Rack and Warehouse + Intelligent Linkage

Targeting the project pain points, CSSC Intelligent abandoned the traditional plan and built a full-process customized solution with "integrated rack and warehouse" as the core:

1. Innovation in space utilization: Adopt the integrated rack and warehouse structure design, eliminate civil engineering columns, and maximize the use of vertical space. The 30-meter-high rack realizes the layout of 502 cargo positions, and the floor efficiency is significantly higher than that of traditional automated warehouses. At the same time, fire-fighting space is reserved to balance safety and practicality.

2. Linkage of automated equipment: Equipped with 28-meter-high double-column stacker cranes, fast palletizing robots, shaping mechanisms and other automated equipment, combined with auxiliary systems such as telescopic belt conveyors, chain conveyors, and pallet dispensers/stretchers, to realize the whole-process automation of raw material palletizing, warehousing, storage and outbound; achieve a composite operation efficiency of 42 pallets per hour, perfectly adapting to the high-frequency inbound and outbound needs of 1-ton pallets.

3. Intelligent management and control system: Build a local control cabinet + central control room remote dual-control system, add background safety interlock design. Stacker cranes, conveyor lines and other equipment are coordinated and dispatched through WMS/WCS systems, with a positioning accuracy of ±3mm, providing double guarantees for safety factor and operation efficiency;

Project Results: Triple Leap in Cost, Efficiency and Space

1. Reduction in both cost and construction period: The integrated rack and warehouse model greatly shortens the construction cycle, saving more than 40% of the construction period compared with the traditional plan. At the same time, it reduces the cross cost of civil engineering and equipment installation, maximizing the cost-effectiveness of project investment;

2. Doubled space efficiency: The 1,000-square-meter warehousing area supports the warehousing of 400,000-ton capacity, with a vertical space utilization rate of 100%, and the floor efficiency is 3-4 times higher than that of traditional warehousing;

3. Leading intelligence level: The whole-process automated operation reduces manual intervention. The composite operation efficiency of 42 pallets per hour meets the peak season inventory turnover needs, and the system availability rate exceeds 95%, greatly reducing operational risks;
